My wife claims to have tried it when we had a problem here and she said it didn't work. She had a dial tone, called 911 and nothing happened. Since I wasn't here I can't vouch for it and I intend to perform a test of 911 on MJ and my other VOIP phone system sometime when I can arrange it with the ...

Unlimited cell phone minutes for $25/month
I ran across this service today and thought that someone else might be interested. If your current cell phone plan includes free incoming calls, then this service can give you unlimited LD calling from your cell phone to USA and Canada for $25 per month.

Under worm attack, US Army bans USB drives
Looks like our armed forces may be forced to stop using MagicJacks.

Under sustained attack from what is described as a rapidly spreading network worm, the U.S. army has banned the use of USB sticks, CDs, flash media cards, and all other removable ...

Several days ago I was getting Error 4, please connect to the internet. I accessed tech support chat and went thru all the various incantations and gyrations without luck. Finally Nicole "refreshed my account", I reset MJ and it worked, until the next morning when the error returned. Not wanting to ...

Thanks for the replies. It looks like we're returning the MJ. The Mac refused to recognize it and running the dmg file didn't work either. The Mac is Power PC based, not Intel, but we thought we'd try it anyway. I got on Tech Support chat and RAIN insisted that we needed an Intel based Mac. When we ...

What exactly do you do with the .dmg Mac upgrade file? I downloaded it to my desktop, but can't run it. I downloaded it to the MJ F: drive, but nno change there. When I went thru MagicFix it said it was trying to run the upgrade, but it couldn't access the MJ. MJ is plugged in and working just fine ...

If you have echo, try Tigerjet's Echo Cancellation Utility. Works for me.

Macs with Power PC chips?
I know that MJ says the Mac upgrade is for Intel based Macs only, but has anyone tried it on systems with Power PC chips? My Dad ordered a MJ before he noticed the Intel Only note. He's running OS/X 10.4.xxx. Thanks.
We gave up trying and are returning the MJ. No luck on this Mac.

HolmanGT,
No problem. There are a TON of USB Bluetooth adapters out there and the D200 sounds like a nice choice. I'm just cheap and bought the cheapest one I could find on Ebay that had 300m range (which I'm starting to doubt since it usally works only when I'm in the same room). Mine doesn't have ...

I can periodically get a fax to send using MJ. On the other hand, I can consistantly send perfect faxes over my other VOIP system, Phone Power, using either my Brother all-in-one printer/fax or my computer's fax modem. I can't receive faxes on either line so I use a free service from www.k7.net to ...

Hope I don't jinx myself....
I hesitate to post this cuz I may end up jinxing myself, but my MagicJack has been running great for about two weeks now. Before that, it would croak a couple of times a day or the sound quality would be choppy/terrible. It was next to unusable and my wife was getting irritated with me. But for now ...

After changing several settings on my Brother MFC 420 CN all-in-one printer, I was able to send excellent faxes thru my Phone Power voip phone system, but MagicJack refused to cooperate and didn't work. I can't receive faxes on either of them. My fax modem using Mighty Fax works on Phone Power but ...

I got Phone Power about a month ago after dumping Teleblend (post SunRocket) and researching all the other VOIP providers. Those reviews you mentioned sealed the deal for me. I'm very happy with it so far. With a few changed settings on my fax machine, I can now send great faxes over VOIP which I ...

If they can get their act together and improve the service, I'll gladly sign up for another year. But if they keep causing me grief and croaking every darn day, then it may not be worth the aggravation. Especially when you need to spend the money to keep a PC running 24/7. Once you manage to get the ...

Spoofer
The spoofer is working fine for me too. I have it sending my GC #. Inbound callerID is another matter. Number and name are the same, not the real caller's name at this point which is aggravating. My audio was choppy too until I did the MagicJack dance and got it running again.

Choppy audio again!
Here we go again. MagicJack wasn't working today and now tonight the choppy audio is back. I'm just getting so sick of this crap! Almost every day there's a problem and I'm getting tired of doing the MagicJack dance... unplug, end the process, plug back in, no success, now yank it back out, reboot ...

Choppy audio
Same thing happened to me all day Tuesday on every call and is still happening this morning. Dial tone sounds fine, but when it rings it's choppy/broken and gets worse when the person answers. Conveniently happens when there's nobody home at MagicJack to call/chat with Hopefully it will get fixed ...
