Kind of bugs me what are they doing with that data?
I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about this. Some of the early forum posts expressed concern that MJ had access to your IE Favorites. It seems like personal phone lists would be of even greater concern. Maybe in the post-9/11 era ...

Jan 2010 Updates
I run with MJ plugged in 24/7 but shut down my system (XP SP2) at night and restart in the morning. All MJ calls are fowarded to my landline. I just use MJ for all long distance calls. I have been running this way since Jan of 2008.
MJ updated Dec 14, 2009 and all appeared fine.

I too use phonetrayfree but with the following config.
I always have one corded landline phone with minimum service in the house. I always want an outside link and cell coverage is very weak.
The MJ number is always call fowarded to the landline number. This has always worked.

Depending on the number of calls need to be made, use any internet service (high speed not needed) to get to your MJ account and set the call fowarding number for to the number you need to call.
