So did I spent $50 to get my ATA....

People it was just an idea, all of you that freak out for $20 a year just chill, is just a phone device after all, I can't believe how people get so bent out of shape over this....

This is what I think. I could be wrong but here is my idea. The REASON MJ is so inexpensive is because of the DONGLE. Having an ATA for the same price would be impossible. Support alone would cost MJ a fortune. Think of how many ATA devices there are on the market, plus Asterix and so on, so many ...

Reset to factory deafult no go. If this was a Cisco Call Manager I could try to hack it, but I just get what they have done...that teh ATA does not work.

From the posts here asterix and even cisco gear are not working either. We are yet to determine if is hardware related or not.

What I have done so far, does not work.

1) Changed password
2) Changed agent version
3) Changed register to 0
4) Add domain talk4free.com

I get dialtone, cannot dial in or out.

About 2 months ago I got home and MJ was down. I pulled the credentials and the proxy changed to proxy01. Again this was 2 months ago. It worked then, it does not work now.

Fixed, wrong password.

Got the password issues fixed, but I still have the stutter tone....researching...Ill report when I find something.

I got a Linksys PAP2T to work with MJ. All works except the voicemail. I pickup phone I get the stutter tone I dial my number, press * it asks for pasword, I enter password then it says password invalid. Is possible that I enter my password wrong, not sure I do remember it correctly....1234 does not ...

On Linksys website it shows Version 1 and Version 2. So to me it seems that Version 1 was PAP2 and Version 2 is PAP2T. with a T

The firmware of version 1 on Linksys site is up to PAP2 3.1.22-LS

The firmware for version 2 to there is none, so whatever comes with it.

I guess I am still confused ...

I see, so how did you get around the settings that do not work correctly, if you can share?
