If you use the GV callback, you don't need to enable GV in your G5 account for the free 3 minute thing, it will work unlimited because it is considered incoming to G5 service. Also, u might try using "1747" for the G5 number. And make sure the G5 has been added and checked in your phone setup in GV ...

Now getting "NO SIP DATA FOUND" after update
I updated my magicjack and it is now running:
1.80.499.2 (2009.08.01)
Now the SIPINFO.EXE is not finding the SIP data (the current beta version which searches 3 times, nor the previous released version).

Re: MJMD5 Help still not working linksys ata
The only thing that I can't verify is that the MJMD5 machine is not on IP address 192.168.193.10. If your machine running MJMD5 is "dynamically obtain IP address", then it could change whenever you reboot.

Re: MJMD5 Help still not working linksys ata
You don't have to leave the MJ in the dongle. It probably is a bad idea to have it in the dongle. If you can take a screenshot of your LINE 1 page in your router and post it here, we can all look at it to see if you have it set right. It shouldn't matter if your user id is visible, just as long as ...

Re: No incoming calls
I have got the outgoing calls working but still cannot seem to keep incoming calls working. They work for a while and then stop. How often does the MJMD5 register with magicjack and is their a way to change it? I am running it on a ddwrt router. All the posts i have seen have said to set the ata ...

Definitely a problem with sipsorcery
Late last night I saw the "timed out" on my account at sipsorcery (looking at the SIP Provider Registration).
Still has the same problem today.
I am back to using my PC with MJMD5 running, and it is working.
I guess it is too easy for MagicJack to detect that all those calls were coming from ...

Looks like you have a winner. I set NAT Mapping Enable to NO. In the NAT Keep Alive Dest, I changed $PROXY to my actual proxy and now I can call MJ from my landline. I did not do any router port forwarding.

Re: ATA Start Working with following setting
Do you happen to know if it is wise to plug in the magicJack dongle once in awhile or does that make any difference?
If you can't get a dial tone or something else is wrong with magicJack, then the most likely cause is that your password changed (or heaven forbid, another MJ software update ...

Re: ATA Start Working with following setting
Initially, I didn't catch your line about having a working ATA prior to the upgrade (I didn't). But, I now have things working on my wife's PC.
Since I didn't have a working ATA, I kind of winged it and did have to put my user ID in the ATA field, because it kept on saying "offline", but once I ...

Re: ATA Start Working with following setting
This works!! Here is what I did to get it to work, and also run it as a service (Windows XP SP3). Prerequisite: you had a working ATA prior to the June 9th upgrade...as I'm assuming you had your ATA properly configured and you know how to perform the steps below:
1) I downloaded the MJMD5.zip file ...

Can't be just a blacklist
If it were just a blacklisted set of numbers, then my number wouldn't work with the dongle. But it does work with the dongle.
So it is something else.

Got incoming working, but no outgoing
I successfully upgraded my software using the dongle. I saw that the password changed, as well as my proxy (they added "proxy01" instead of "proxy1"). MJsuite v1.6 works just fine for me to grab my SIP credentials.

SIP agent string
You would need a utility to get your SIP credentials. Search ths forum for "Stroths MJ Utilities". One of the functions is "Get SIP credentials". It will make a text file of your MJ credentials (one of them is the user agent name).

Re: User Agent in SIPURA interface
My PAP2 has it listed on the SIP tab.

Aha! If it is in the SIP page, then it is independent of LINE 1 and LINE 2. I have "$VERSION" in the "SIP User Agent Name", and the "SIP Reg User Agent Name" is empty.

User Agent in SIPURA interface
I don't see any "User Agent" field in the advanced view of my Linksys WRTP54G router. This is using the 3.1.27 firmware that is basically the SIPURA interface.

Re: Magic Jack as a service - a better way
semicharm: You still have a few lingering "All Users" in your main post of this topic. They need to be changed to "LocalService".
I also had a problem with InstallMJService.bat, it contains a stray <echo "%nocopy%"> in the middle which screws things up.
