same problem - no dialtone or dialing by telephone

I have the same problem as ogiejim. Phone worked fine for awhile but now I get no dialtone and cannot use the phone to dial. I can dial by softphone then turn the telephone on and the telephone works fine to then converse on. Then to hang up, I have to use "end" on the softphone.
You can try MJ ...

g'bye MJ

That's it... I surrender and I've requested an RMA to ship this back.

It's a great idea with lots of potential and will no doubt be huge. I'll buy it again, but not until this many issues are resolved.

Now MJ is screwed up

Good Lord! After trying the DSL filter -- which did not solve the problem above -- I reconnected just my phone to MJ. Now I get no dial tone but seem to be able to dial out and to receive calls. BUT... audio is barely audible. I'm almost ready to give up on MJ.

FYI - Well, as I suspected, the DSL filter did NOT solve the problem. I hooked the filter all possible ways to all 3 units (MJ, phone, DishTV box) and none solved the phone problem when both the phone and DTV box are connected to a single MJ. :(

Now I'm thinking about a second MJ.
Still ...

let me know too...

I'm posting this reply so I learn if it worked or not. I've ordered a DSL filter/splitter for my DishTV. I've posted the issue in Tech Forum here.

No one has the answer to that question, either, except God - and he's not talking. (Mine is "pending", too.)
you mean God doesn't have MJ?

It works with DishTV BUT...

I use it successfully with DishTV but I only have a simple splitter between MJ and the phone and the DishTV module. If both are connected, the phone reception and transmission is so poor as to be unuseable. If I disconnect the DishTV line, the phone works fine. The DishTV always reads 'connected ...

Dish TV through Magic Jack

To use DishTV, you must have a dial tone (or pay an extra $5/mo). Since Magic Jack is my only landline source, I'm using it for DishTV. It works fine...BUT... if both the DishTV box AND a telephone are connected (with a splitter) to Magic Jack, the phone line is very staticy--to the point of barely ...
