seti007 it does not matter what firmware is on the pap2 v2 as you can downgrade it to any firmware. and then flash to this patched firmware.
i would make sure your unit is unlocked before flashing to the patched firmware.

step 12 should be user/pass admin/admin not Admin/Admin or Admin

this is a how to flash the pap2 v2 adapter with out a problem

1.) go to : http://www.ubuntu.com/ <-- download the iso and burn it to a disc
2.) download pap2patcherplus.tar.bz2
3.) download rtp300_fw_3.1.24_US.img
4.) place those 2 files in a folder on your C drive name the folder LINKSYSMOD

i have my pap2 flashed with sipura
i have my pap2 v2 flashed with RT300 PATCH

looking to find out about a DLINK VTA VR i have that but its the same problem as the PAP V2 gives * in front of the USER anyone know about this
