I would disconnect the MJ from the wall jack immediately. The MJ unit is not designed to receive ringing voltage through the RJ 11 connector. You risk blowing the MJ unit.

As the previous poster suggested, you should use a separate phone (or external ringer) for your door buzzer.

I did a roundabout quick fix for it. I just set call forwarding to my MJ phone number. That way, it doesn't matter if Disable doesn't work properly. The calls will still end up at my MJ phone number.

No problem here but I'm just curious about the phone numbers that MagicJack assigns.

How did MJ get these phone numbers? A Las Vegas number is an Ymax landline (based on 411 info). That's expected. But, mine (IL) comes up as a T-mobile cell phone number. Another (NY) comes up as a Verizon landline.
