well Ive made several phone calls today and to my surprise I think the tech in my above post nailed it.. I am once again somewhat happy with my magic jack. I strongly suggest people to follow what the almighty Lex suggests...

Ive made 4 calls and all is well so hopefully this guy nailed it... Its late here so I cant pester anyone else to see if its really fixed... but so far so good
