I have this exact router and version (v2). I made a big mistake by upgrading to Cisco's latest firmware (4.71.x). Upon doing so, I'd get dropped connections after 30 seconds, call completions ending up back to dialtone, etc.

After awhile I develop a knack for it. I can identify the erroneous back-to-dialtone because it occurs so rapidly after completion of dialing. Redialing 5-10 times causes it to finally go through. When the number is really busy, it seems to take 2-3 seconds longer to go back to dialtone.

As I stated in another thread, I also confirmed the dialing a number which is busy gives dead air then dial tone. From my land line, it just responds with a busy signal (as it should).

I really wish the developers would resolve this issue either with their servers and/or the MJ software to ...

Having this exact same issue

I'm in the 480 exchange. When I dial a friend's number.. it goes to dead air for a couple of seconds then back to dialtone. Sometimes, it even starts ringing and then back to dialtone.

I kept my land line to test.. and sure enough, that 480 number is simply busy. This annoys the heck out of my wife ...
