Same problem here. Empty contact list when I booted up this morning. Are they lost forever?

according to customer service, this is part of their newest upgrade. i was told to just remove to dongle without worrying about using "safely remove hardware."

not sure how it will affect the stability of win xp sp3, but guess i won't worry about it...unless i find it makes my system unstable.

Instead of reinstalling AIM, I reinstalled my Logitech webcam. Thanks for the input. I decided to load MJ on my laptop, using the same DSL connection that I use for my desktop, and lo and behold, made a call to my other phone line and it never skipped a beat...it lasted more than 30 minutes until I hung up the connection.
