I tried everything at this point. I'm at the point where I just want to reflash the pap2, thinking that it may be the fault.

It does have the 600ohms set as the impedance setting.

****UPDATE****
Switched port to line 2, reconfigured proxy information and now caller id works. Guess port 1 may be ...

Thanks for the reply bfksc. I do have a question though. How would I check the impedance on the line?

I tried pagemen settings, but still the same issue.

Thanks guy for the help. My correction, my phone says incoming call on it's display, not unknown.

I'll look into the suggestions.

Pagemen, do you have a similar setup? Does your cid work?

Thanks,

MJMD5/PAP2 Caller ID

Guys,

I have the above setup working and has been for a while. However, I can't seem to get the CallerID feature working. I have a vtech cordless phone with 5 handsets. I've added the 100K resistor to the line, but still nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hunter,

Why don't you upgrade to a mini version? You'll have jffs options if you do and everything should work fine.

I used the other method by install mjproxy in /jffs and now I don't have to download it and install it after my router reboots.

I have DD-WRT v24-sp1 mini on a WRT54G router and ...

Thanks,

Anon,

I have the same exact issue with my Pap2-na. When the call comes in, I can see that it shows a status of incoming call in the log, however, the phone does not ring. If you do pick up the phone, does it also pick up the call?

What kind of phone are you using?

Hmm,

I checked my pap2-na and it shows the following for incoming calls:

Call 1 State: Ringing
Call 1 Tone: Ring-Callback
Call 1 Encoder: G711u
Call 1 Decoder: G711u
Call 1 Type: Incoming

So it appears that it's trying to ring the phone, however, the phone doesn't ring. If I answer the phone ...

It should work with any ATA, because you'll be using it as a proxy. It will require you to keep your pc on 24/7 because you'll be using the dongle to establish a connecting with MJ servers.

xguju,

Unplug your device and wait a min or so. Put it back in, make sure the softphone comes up and says ready, and use Stroths program to find the sip info again. It may take a try or 2, but it will work.

andsmith79,

When you get an incoming call, does your phone ring? If so, which guide did you use to get your linksys working? I have the pap2 and before the magicjack update, the phone, a wired phone, worked well. After the upgrade and using the proxy method, the phone no longer rings on incoming ...

No Ring on incoming calls

Hey Guys,

I tried az1324's program running on an IBM T20 with the magicjack plugged in and configured as described. I also have my Linksys PAP2 configured as described.

I get a dial tone and can make calls. However, when trying to make an incoming call, the phone does not ring, but if I pick it ...
