Hello, I chatted with an agent today and asked why the Renewal button was no longer on my Subscription Page online...he told me the service is being discontinued, and there are no more renewals. Only the MJ Dongle and MJ Plus are being sold.

I've read somewhere on the internet that MJ doesn't work with GoogleVoice, but I may be misinformed.

You can't believe 95% of what you read on the internet. GV works fine with MJ, I use it all the time. I just have never used it to call internationally.

Edit: Google claims their rates are low ...

Is there another way to use the MJ or MT without having to buy IPP from MJ??


I have never used it for this and have no idea how the rates compare to MJ, but GoogleVoice offers international calling.

Hello, 2 weeks ago, my account stopped allowing me to purchase IPP (International Minutes).

After doing the live chat they came up with no answer, other than to tell me they would give a report to the "Engineering Department" and get back to me via email. So far nothing.

I guess no one has an answer to this, I saw an inexpensive VOIP generic phone recently, that works with most VOIP services, and I thought I could eliminate the dongle, boot MJ from my hard drive and then just plug in the very small VOIP phone for talking, instead of hauling the cumbersome telephone ...

If I boot MagicJack from the computer rather than the dongle, is there a way to use a generic VOIP USB phone to talk and call??

is it possible to use a VOIP USB Phone plugged into another USB port, just like I would do with a headset and mic??

if so, what might the quality be vs an analog phone?/ And will the VOIP phone ring, like my analog one does, thanks
