It is a big pain to have to keep going through this proceedure everytime you reboot.........but as I said when it works it works great.
If it's a problem that started from a Microsoft update the you would think that Magic Jack would be working on a patch or update!

I agree. I was hoping to dispose of Ma Bell. But this is to un reliable. It's easier to pick up the home phone.....listen to the dial tone and dial.

My computer desk has a built in powered USB hub which I have my Magic Jack plugged into. Any possibility that having it continousuly plugged into a powered port woud damage it? My Majic Jack has been plugged into the same usb port for months. I shut the computer down completly at night and restart in the AM without un plugging the MJ.

This fix worked ......until I restarted my computer this morning. Then the same error message. This is getting old. I was ready to turn off my home phone line. But not yet!!!

My Majic Jack just started doing the same thing. I have also had it for 6 or 7 months.....I even brought it to Italy last summer without a problem. Managed to get it working with the aid of the lame online chat. Worked for 2 or 3 days and today back to the same thing.
