try putting the actiontec is bridge mode and let the netgear handle the connection when behind a double NAT can cause problems with some devices and applications from working correctly

in the same spot were the blue light there should be a white led blinking
when the firmware is running. if the white led is not flashing out possibility the firmware is corruped or hardware failure

what type of internet connection you have Eg. Cable, DSL?
You may need a router to hook both of them up the same time.

When the Magicjack plus is working you should have an amber led flasing, a green led solid but flashes once in awhile. also where the + symbol is there should be a blue led that is solid and a white led flashing over the blue led. check your routers DHCP lease time some routers have a one day lease as default this could explain the issue. Try changing the DHCP lease to 7 days or you could go to my magicjack site
and under call features then advanced try to assign a static ip to the magicjack

Magicjack support told me that the yellow/amber indicates that the magicjack is conneted to internet.

I think the white LED started flashing when i upgraded the software to the feb 13 2012

noticed another blinking LED

When I put the usb extention between the magicjack plus and the power adapter I noticed a white LED that is blinking behind the + symbol where the blue LED located. I see the blue LED lit, the white LED blinks every second same as the yellow/amber, but not at the same time.

Check the routers DHCP Lease time set it to the highest setting
some routers the default DHCP lease time is one day some are set for two days try changing the setting for 7 days to see if this helps

It has to be a self powered hub usb. some usb hubs put out .5 amp on each of the usb ports. try to find a cell charger that has a usb port on it would be close enough for testing

the way I have mine set up the wires at the NID on the customers side are dissconnected . I have only one line attached to the two screws, then that line goes to a connection block in my basement also dissconneted.

Green is lan link/act indicator: solid when connected to the nework flashes when there is network activity eg: using the phone
yellow or amber: flashes when it has an internet connection if internet connection is lost it would be solid

that is what I figured out

In the phone box (NID)
next to the test jack should be 2 screws one red and one green
dissconnect all the wires from those screws if there are muliple wires connected you have to splice all of the green wires together with a wire nut and the same to the red wires then use a 2 line adapter on one ...

some routers have a time zone setting if this is default setting set this setting for your time zone. in my router is a linksys WRT54g ver. 5
on the main page there is a time zone setting each router brand/model is diffrent check your manual about this setting this might help
