Dan you Rock! THe USB was indeed set to 'save energy'! I would not have known this - MJ central should put this on its FAQ, it is such a simple fix and a BIG problem!! I have Windows XP, so 'saving energy' is probably likely with XP. Thanks!

I have choppy voice syndrom...I was thinking it was my PCs power problem, not the router. My router is DLink DL624. It is old; should it be replaced or can I add the firmware you reference with Qos? I would love a solution to this ...I want Magic Jack to work! Thanks!

Break up is terrible on mine also. I did the speed test and got a different score each time - is that normal? I have about 21403 down and 2142 up, wiht 10ms ping What can I do to fix the delay?

Magic Jack sits idle on PC - then drops the internet connction. The internet is good when I look at the connection (and works with other PCs in the house) so only MJ is not connected to internet anymore. Happens frequently.
