If you are having troubles with cutting out!!!!
After a year of fighting "cutting out" I finaly found the cure....or maybe my wife did. She cussed me every time it cut out and swore that it was my fault that we no longer had a usable phone. So finally under the barrage of anger from her I consented to reconnect to Ma Bell...through a $23 add on ...

Cant repair the HD in the TC
I have a 10gb HD in the TC and recently I started getting an error that says it cannot start Windows (XP) because of a missing or corrupted file. Something called -........windows\system32\config\system. And then suggests that I can repair it by booting from the original XP CD and hitting the "r" on ...

conferance calls???
My wife tried to join a conference call this morning using the magicjack. Now I am in big trouble. Apparently MJ does not support conference calls to any other system. is this the case or did we miss something.

First in answer to your statement about PCs not being around for 44 years. You are almost right, but it depends on what you call a PC. If you mean a comercially built IBM PC, you are right. If you mean a homemade computer that is used personally, you are wrong.

SSD for TC
Are there larger SSDs that will fit in the TC? I have a 10gb mechanical drive now because the 1 gig SSD was not large enough to run XP full up.

Getting the thin client to ring multiple phones.
I have found that ONE is the limit, but in my house I need FOUR. But I solved the problem. I bought a Vtech phone that allows for registering as many as 12 satellite phones. The satellites are rung by radio transmission from the base so the base presents just one load on the line. The others are all ...

Since the TC can be made to boot from the USB with a DOK plugged in, is there any reason that a full up version of XP could not be installed on a 16 gb DOK and then have the TC always boot from the DOK?

Make USB Thumb drive a bootable USB DOK device
Please use a 1GB (or larger) thumb drive for this step. Use this link to download the utility to make your USB thumb drive a bootable DOK (Disk on Key) and to get the DOS files you will need to make the bootable USB drive.
