Re: Windows 7 and Sleep
As a temp fix until MJ can get onboard with this issue, a possible method of saving some considerable time with the whole mount/dismount of MJ's USB dongle (at least in XP), is to go into MJ's softphone and use the "Restart" feature located under Menu, Advanced Users, Restart.
Hope this helps ...

Re: Windows 7 and Sleep
I have magicjack attached to an AC powered USB hub. Works great in Windows 7 with clear crisp call quality. Some blips but for the most part, works fine.
However, if I put Windows 7 into sleep mode I run into a problem that I cannot find a response to.

no install fixed
Ok, so here's what i found on XP
There is a file, usb.inf, normally found in Windows\INF. Apparently it can go missing for a variety of reasons, and composite devices will not be understood.
I cannot speak for Vista, but look into this.

Do you have Autorun disabled on this machine?
no, but it wouldn't matter, because the flash drive embedded on the MJ is never even recognized. On other systems, first you see the drive, THEN it autoruns. No drive = no run. Can't even manually run the software... tried it. Stuck the MJ on another ...

no install on XP32 SP3
This worked fine on Vista32 and XP64 SP2, but utterly failed where i really need it -- on an XP32 SP3 machine.
This machine works fine with all kinds of USB devices. Plug in the MJ, and it failes to see the embedded drive, so doesn't find the drivers. Instead, it pops up with the driver search ...
