I do not have a solution to this problem but I have the exact same issue. I have been told it’s an issue with the MJ sending only -24 volts rather than the normal -48 volts a regular POTS line sends. I don’t know if this is true as I have no way of changing the voltage my FXO port senses. For some ...

I have a Cisco 1760 router with 2 FXO interfaces, on connecting to the magic jack. When I place an outbound call the FXO to MJ goes off hook but no DTMF (tones) are passed into the magic jack. I can tell that MJ detects the FXO going off hook because the softphone pops to the front of the screen ...
