Even stranger is if you have preference setup to have mac go to sleep on its own and wake up when you move mouse your magicjack along with dialtone works fine,

except on windows you just have to click on the icon and it restarts itself and you get a dial tone.On a Mac you get no dial tone unless you unplug and plug back in again

Comcast offered me free norton security suite .Im already running free AVG 2011.Magicjack works fine with AVG.Will magicjack work as good if I switch to Norton Security suite?

no changes to laptop except I added zonealarm firewall.Im directly plugged into my laptop and my internet signal is wifi.

when I try to make a call I get dial tone but as I wait for call to go through my wifi internet shuts down and call doesnt go through.When I hang up my wi fi internet comes back on.Ive been on this laptop with xp and magicjack for 2 years and never had this problem.

My wireless internet in my condo has download speed at 1.14 mbps and I can hear my callers fine but my upload speed is only 0.12 mbps and my callers complain my voice is always breaking up and they cant understand me.How fast does mbps speed need to be for magicjack to work properly?

I know we are suppose to use normal but when I switched to Aircard voices stopped being choppy.Before my callers heard me fine but I got lots of choppy voice from them.Any drawback to using aircard setting on wifi system? Thanks Matt

My condo wifi has now got download speeds at 1200kbps and upload speeds at about 120kbps.Using magicjack on xp I have no problems hearing my caller but they complain I am breaking up on their end.Is this a direct result of the wide difference between my download and upload speeds? Thanks

Did another speed test yesterday and download speed was 184 and magic jack was full of break ups.Next day in morning the speed was 1084 and phone was okay.Anyone know bottom line of how fast internet speed needs to be for magic jack to work without breaking up?

I think your right since I checked speed this morning at 9am with few at condo and it was 1062 download and 1132 upload and I was able to make a clear call hearing person fine.
