I did that and unfortunately their answer to any VOIP conversion for me is to charge me $300 to install a cell based unit in the alarm box and an additional $10 a month fee for using it.

That is why I am trying to see if there is a way to make the MJ system work with the alarm instead.

You could try reinstalling windows, but before going that far, I've found that Revo Uninstaller can get rid of the hidden registry entries and such for other difficult to remove programs.

I haven't tried it to wipe out a Magic Jack installation, but it has a real good track record for a truckload ...

Is it possible that the .exe is running in W2k compatibility mode? NT5.0 is Windows 2000, while Vista is NT 6.0. Magic Jack evidently needs XP (NT5.1) or above.

Maybe something in the registry is keeping the .exe in W2k mode even after a reinstall.
