Don't think he can make these thin clients any more...

I build computers, and the parts for these thin clients are being blocked by some kiosk developer companies. Patents are owned by a handful of companies that develop micro-form-factor and kiosk terminal computers, and are policed by their lawyers.

Especially Microsoft's, which frowns on the ...

Re: You can still use MagicTalk... with a SPECIFIC condition

(Severely edited for a huge correction)

I thought the MagicTalk App beta accessed was set by a registry key.

It's not. It's set by the hardcoded MAC address of your CPU's motherboard. Can't transfer it that easily.

magictalk registry keys?

I'd like to have a copy of the registry keys for MagicTalk. These authorize the MagicTalk program to work on the PC.

My budget won't allow any money to buy a second MagicJack. I keep getting outbid, the resale value is way too high. More than the $11 I put in as my limit.

Giving up...

Since no-one is willing to give a copy of the necessary registry keys to allow MagicTalk access without the "plug in your MagicJack" screen stopping progress...

I'm shopping on eBay for a used Magicjack, but the resale value of this thing is way too high. None of them go for less than $20 ...

Not in Beta anymore, but not on PC anymore either...

The software will still work on computers authorized for use of the software before the cutoff time.

New installs now ask for the MagicJack device in order for the software to run. The App was moved for Iphone use. That's simply another device to keep track of. While it is handy for those who only ...

HEEEY! WHY???!?!

I really like using the standalone. I have a big problem. My netbook hard drive got zapped, and when I reinstalled the software, it's now asking for the dongle! I want to continue using the app. with the account I paid for it! Two years I paid for in 2010. Why are they chomping on MagicTalk users now?

I also just goit hit by the same issue.

Here's the kink: it's the SAME computer! Same hard drive same everything. I had to reinstall the computer because the flash hard drive in this HP Mini 1116NR got zapped, the partition header was killed. I was able to recover everything.

I reinstalled ...

Yabbut will they nag me now?

I don't know if disabling the auto-renew feature will cause nags to pop up earlier than 3 months before the expiration date?

I use MJ, but I have it on an unattended Pentium 2 with XP SP3, 2 GB hard drive, and nothing else. I took out the CD rom drive after installing, and took out the monitor (I ...

Internet Nasties might throw faults into MagicJack

I've disabled ALL my security on my computer. Running Windows XP SP1. No firewalls. No Antivirus programs.

The only thing saving me from ruin is that I have Sandboxie still protecting me, bu only on calls to Internet Explorer and any other Internet Explorer-based browsers that I use, as I have

I got it, too.

It's for adjusting the bandwidth. There should be a "Public Convention" setting that squeezes the bandwidth smaller.

I also got a nasty surprise with it. It cut off any use under Sandboxie. Due to the upgrade, it won't run under Sandboxie. It now requires access to the Internet ...

Trying to upgrade MagicJack under Sandboxie!

I just had this problem, and I thought I fixed it, but it failed!

It keeps saying: "Warning: You must plug MagicJack into USB" as it says in WarningNoDeviceFound.gif

I tried everything - I have to wipe the hard drive out every time I use MagicJack.

Please set MagicJack up to work with Sandboxie ...
