I also had this problem , did a clean install it was due anyway and the problem is gone. For what its worth i since bought a new router and the MJ works better than ever. I have read peeps here open ports on the router, I did NOT. All is well , hope this helps someone.

Information
I'm sure we all know that we have the free 411 on the MJ, But what i did not know is that we can also access Information for any area code ( including 800 ) simply by dialing ( area code ) 555-1212. Was news to me and maybe to a few others here as well.

Go to Grandcentral and get yourself a local number. once that its done you can call forward to your MJ number. This way people in your are have a local number to call instead of paying long distance....

All is ok for now
I had the same problems last night, I was able to receive call but could not call out. All is fine this morning. I have learned one thing for sure when there is a problem its on there side not ours, I have read they are doing many updates and like other people say for 20 bucks wtf I can live with it.

Interesting question
In my opinion no port forwarding is necessary, when I forst set my MJ up I had all kinds of issues , just to find out it was all on there side. I opened ports in my router and it never resolved a thing. Once my MJ bgean to work ( again it was ther problem not mine ) I closed all the ports I had ...

No voicemail when pc is off
I am a new user and the MJ works fine. However it was my understanding when my pc is off and someone calls , my voice mail should pick up. When i try to call my MJ phone from my landline number i hear nothing , like the call never went thru.
I then will get a email as follows:
Dear MagicJack User ...
