I am trying to install the MJ and it gives an error message saying to call customer service because there was a problem creating a socket. Does anyone know how I can resolve this without having to call cust service?

I haven't installed the MJ yet because when I started the install I realized there are no area codes for my state (New Mexico). If people who don't have MJ call me from in-state, will they be charged long distance since I will have an area code from another state?
