The router will run mjproxy, ATA will connect from router to MJ server through mjproxy on the router. So, you don't use MJ USB any more. All you need is a router with tomato firmware + mjproxy as service on the router and a ATA.

I use HT286. It is small size and does the job. You don't need to connect MJ at all. You will put SIP info on ATA then connect ATA to the router. Therefore, you don't need to leave computer on in order to make phone calls or receive phone calls.

My other question, I have two routers connected to eachother via a very long ethernet ...

Hi~

This is the easiest way to use MJ w/o USB. From QOS, I notice that MJ uses a lot of bandwidth around 10K, not even using a lot of bandwidth, the quality is not that great. Do you guys experience the same thing?

Well, you still has to go through the MJMD5 proxy in order to get it working. The computer still needs to be on all the time. Or you programed MJMD5 on the router, then MSS or SS can get MJMD5 through the router.

VOIPVOIP is not bad

VOIPVOIP won't charge you anything to port a number over, and provide unlimited incoming call (it is up to unlimited).

6.99/month.

When I call out, I use localphone.com, they have cheapest rate to most areas.
