yeah, this is xp sp3 also.

i did a search on removing wisptix.exe and that is where i heard about the advanced text services removal.

maybe i'll try that and see what happens. though i'd like a better handle on what else i might be screwing up by removing it.

sorry, i am not seeing anything in add/remove programs about journal, under windows, or microsoft, or elsewhere.

i have read about removing "advanced text services" (which has "ink correction" under it. as a way to stop wisptis.exe from running. i already have "advanced settings" in languages ...

Joe, i just noticed the wisptis.exe starting when mj starts. i can't find a service relating to it, or a windows journal to uninstall. renaming it doesn't help because mj reinstalls it.

any other ideas about stopping it?

starting from .bat file also means that softphone can be set to start minimized, which mj now won't is incapable of.

That was the problem. It looks like there is a problem with the mod rewrite.
As a workaround, I just removed the " ?highlight= " from the search results.

and remember, if you shut down mj, the next time you start it, you will have to reset all settings. mj can't remember any setting changes.

got it downloaded. it seems to allow skype to use the magicjack device so one could use a handset with skype. but no go with getting skype software to use mj system. emailing with tigerjet support didn't support me interest.
