No, I haven't tried Sygate. It has a trial version, but Kerio is working well and I'm reluctant to start all over again with another. In the past I had trouble finding a firewall with the functionality that I like. Each one seems to have a different way of descrbing what it blocks and how. It's ...

The default gateway ends in .1 and my IP ends in .131 so I chose .100 as the last 3 digits.
Again there were no errors in the command box, but it still connects to the default MJ IP.
So I tried .200 - same result
I even added the vms number as well (67.88.183.77) - same result

I looked in the ...

When I do the route command, it shows no errors.
But if "route print" is executed while using MJ, it still shows the IP I'm trying to block.

In the 5th line of IP#s, it shows:
Network Destination: 67.88.183.70 (which is what I want to block)
Netmask 255.255.255.255
Gateway (my default)
Interface ...

That link is the page where I found the original instructions I had been following.
According to the article, blocking your unit's default IP should force it to choose another one. No need to block all others unless you want to force it to choose a specific IP (the one left unblocked). I'm only ...

Update: I restarted MJ, made a call and generated another mjdump text file. The IP listed in there is the same as before, so apparently it's not rerouting it.

Thanks. That seemed to work. At least there were no errors. Is there an easy way to check if it's rerouting other than using pmdump? The file it produced was 86mb and took forever to load into notepad.

I've tested the MJ, and call quality is no better. I don't know what's causing that. MJ's audio ...

Under "interface list," 0x1 is MS TCP Loopback. 0x2 is Realtek Gigabit Ethernet NIC

Using the command
route add 67.88.183.77 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.2 metric 1 if 0x1
produced the same error. I also tried the above with 0x2 and got the same error.

I'm guessing that 192.168.1.2 is the ...

No it's not set for Phoenix. As I mentioned in the original post, I substituted my local IP # (67.88.183.70) in the route command. I'm not using a router.

Having trouble changing proxy server

For a week or so now, incoming voice quality has been bad (sounds like a highly compressed mp3) so I decided to follow the instructions here
to change the proxy server it normally connects to.

Everything went OK until I tried to execute the route command. I used their suggested one:
(route add 66 ...

OK, thanks. That's good to know. I'll give it some more time.

It was frustrating because MJ was previously working so well that I had given up my other phone service.

No. This happens with everyone I call. Most of them are landlines.

inbound voice drops out for 5-15 secs

I had been using MJ (with Comcast) for about a month with no problems, then suddenly about 3 days ago, the signal from the inbound caller occasionally started disappearing to silence for about 5-15 secs at a time. During that period they can here me, but I can't here them. Today it happened about 5 ...
