Still waiting for MJ tech to get back to me ...... starting to lose faith.

plugged phone back into our land line - gets a dial tone right away.

Maybe a bad MJ?

I installed the MJ on my laptop - Sony Vaio VGN-SZ260P running Windows XP Pro, used new RJ11, new GE 5.8 GHz cordless phone - STILL NO DIAL TONE!

After going through everything ...

I bought a GE 5.8 GHz cordless phone, same thing I can't get a dial tone at all. MJ does work with cordless phones right?

If I switch to "Headset" and dial in the MJ window and then switch to phone the phone works, I just can't pick it up and dial because I have no dial tone.

It does say ready to call, if I dial on the phone the numbers do not transfer to the MJ window.

I am running a Dell Optiplex GX150 running Windows XP, connected to broadband via a network cable to a Linksys router (WRT300N) connected to a Motorola SB5101 broadband modem.
