Unfortunately, I am running into a similar issue. I also have 2K8 x64 server. I am running an AMD X2 5200+ processor with 8 GB of RAM. I normally have 3 virtual machines running via Hyper-V, but even turning them off I get the same issue, only I get about 2 seconds of trying, then it disconnects ...
