I know it can be done. I've seen Neoware e90 for sale on eBay, ready to go for mJ and read of others that are happily calling away with their e90 running magicJack. but I have not yet figured how to get an image of XPe loaded on my new Transcend 1gb DOM. I'm still hopeful that another Neoware user ...

I have my Neoware e90 256/128 Linux, purchased new in a sealed box from eBay for $32. I have since installed a 1gb SODIMM that I had laying around, ordered and received a 1gb Transcend 44 pin horizontal DOM from memory.com, for about $25, delivered. I have installed the memory and the Neoware has ...

Your post and your reference to JeepsterGuy's Dummies Guide http://phoneservicesupport.com/dummies-guide-configure-an-hp-t5700-for-mj-using-xpe-w-sp2-t3605.html saved the day. I am beginning to feel more confident that I can exploit the most from my thin client and ...

Install XPe on a Thin Client for use with mJ

I have my new, wireless HP Neoware e90 256/128 (Linux), have added 1gb of ram I had laying around and am waiting for my Transcend 1gb Flash ROM from memory.com to arrive. I downloaded the 1gb version of Windows XPe for Neoware e90 from HP and saved it to a folder.

Being new to thin clients, I'm ...

I received my new thin client today, a brand-new HP Neoware e90 128/256 (Linux) for $32. I had a 1GB memory module laying around and ordered a 1GB Transcend Flash ROM for $16.70. I'm downloading the XPe for 1GB and will learn what to do next. As a total noob to thin clients, I hope I can get this ...

Polygamy for magicJacks?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'll ask anyway. Is there a way to patch magicJack for polygamy, allowing two, or more lines on one computer? Even better, as a multi-line service with all the cool stuff, like magicBlock and Stroth's sweet little program on a hot, little thin client ...

I'm just guessing, but if you had Windows Explorer open, could you have time to format the mJ before your machine crashes? What happens when you insert the mJ into another machine?

I can understand them being unable, or unwilling to port IN a number, but I don't see how this could exempt them from FCC local number portability (LNP) rules allowing the consumer to port a number AWAY from mJ. It seems that we still have the ability to port away from ANY provider, except certain ...

If the hum you are hearing is 60Hz, it is likely from AC emissions in the house electrical wiring. Assuming the house telephone wiring is detached from the landline service, AC powered handsets are disconnected, there may be house wiring that is too close to electrical wiring and "receiving" the ...

Porting My Number FROM magicJack

I understand that magicJack does not currently support porting a telephone number TO magicJack service, but how about porting a magicJack number FROM magicJack?

According to what I have read on the FCC website;

"Under the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) “local number portability” (LNP ...

I just had a chat with magicJack, trying to clarify what is "average usage", according to paragraph 6 of the TOS. I am more unclear than ever, because magicJack does not disclose what the "average use" is. "Reed" quickly elevated me to a higher level of support. "Cassy" informed me the company does ...

TOS, "Proper Use" and Call Time Limits

I have not used my MJ much yet, but am planning to launch two lines as soon as my thin clients arrive. I was curious about the "proper use" as defined in the TOS and time limits imposed on calls. I approached MJ support chat and had the pleasure of chatting with "Ruby".

According to the TOS ...

the 256/512 set up ought to work just fine, as long as you can flash XPe to the SSD. Does HP have an XPe download for a 512mb drive in the c50?

I'm on a crusade to determine what the lowest ram/flash and cpu speed combo that will run the magicJack perfectly.

Hey, BryanW. I've also got an HP Neoware on the way, only mine is an e90 and is coming with a 128mb/256mb and Linux. The discontinued 512mb and 1gb flash rom's had a list price of about $200 and I believe the "kit" came with XP Embedded pre-installed.

These should be the correct part numbers for ...

I'm anxiously awaiting my MJ, ordered today. I'm running Vista on a laptop.

I use RKS Fax for Vista (Mighty Fax is for XP), which is a printer driver that uses the telephone modem to send and receive faxes on my laptop. You "print" the document to be faxed and the RKS printer driver acts like a ...
