Make sure the ATA proxy is pointing to the router and not to MJ. If your router IP is 192.168.1.1, then Proxy = 192.168.1.1:5070 on the ATA.

In this set up, The ATA is now using the router as the proxy internally. The router itself is already set up to deal with the MJ proxy.

Not that one. Windows is a dongle requirement.

Have you checked the thin client section? Lots of good tips in there for small, low power solutions.

My fault. I didn't read your post well enough. I thought you were looking for Tomato instructions.

The Linksys screen is the ATA. You point the ATA to the router instead of the MJ proxy. The ATA will use the modified router as a proxy. The ATA used to access the MJ network directly. That stopped ...

Everything you need to know, for the most part, is in these forums. I suggest you or your sister start reading and at least attempt one of the procedures. How you go about it will depend on your hardware. Then, if you get stumped, you can be a bit more specific when asking questions.

Now point your PAP2T to the router. Let's say your router IP is 192.168.1.1...you would set the proxy on the PAP2T to 192.168.1.1:5070

In other words, don't use the MJ proxy address (proxy01.yourtown.talk4free.com) on the PAP2T. You use the the IP of the router. If you have it set up this way, then ...

Seriously! To say no one has 'spoken' up or offered assistance is crazy. This forum alone is the most resourceful out there. It just takes some time to sift through the info to find what you need.

I went from MJ noob to ATA/WRT pro in a matter of days using this forum alone.

Yup...the dialplan was jacked up. I used the simple plan from Aaaron's tut and I can call out. I verified the call change through SS and can see the GV #.

Now, I can dial out but not in. When calling my GV #, it goes to VM. Google history sees the call but the phone won't ring.

Thanks for the ...

I tried this but I'm as soon as I looked at my Gizmo history, I saw this:

Code: Select all

Date (GMT) Number Rate/min Duration Price
12 August, 05:42 PM +1-219-xxx-xxxx $0.0190 00:01 $0.019
12 August, 05:41 PM +1-219-xxx-xxxx $0.0190 00:01 $0.019
I was calling my cell to test. Is this normal?

I have noticed that if I try to call my GV number with this setup in order to check my GV voicemail, it rings the phone I am calling from (Gizmo5 configured in PAP2T) with call waiting indicated, and does not allow me to check my voicemail.

I suppose it's due to the fact the the outgoing CID is ...
