What exactly do you do with the .dmg Mac upgrade file? I downloaded it to my desktop, but can't run it. I downloaded it to the MJ F: drive, but nno change there. When I went thru MagicFix it said it was trying to run the upgrade, but it couldn't access the MJ. MJ is plugged in and working just fine ...

I am running 10.5.2 and I get dialtone on the phone connected to the MJ but not through the internal speakers of the MacBook. Also, the MJ does not work with the internal microphone of the MacBook either but all is fine through the phone connected to the MJ.

Any thoughts on this or should I be ...

Well, since you can't seem to get a dialtone on either a Mac or a PC, I'd go to the TechChat and ask for another mJ.

I wouldn't mention, if I were you, that your Windows version is running through emulation...

I have one more thing I want to check out first then if that fails then I'll do that ...

I bought 2 of the cheap mini flip phones from Walgreens. Both of mine do not work properly, and will likely be headed back there soon.

I would try another phone.

The new update actually downloads to a mac directly. Very nice, no weird using only osx 10.4, or windows...

How'd you get passed the softphone.talk4free.com problem?

I didn't have that problem at all. The ONLY issue I had was that I had to download the .dmg on my WinXP side (Im using VMFusion), then slide it over to my OSX side, open it up, then slide that MJ Utility BACK to the XP side ...

Well I THOUGHT it took the update but I guess not. I get something to double click and everytime I do it shuts immediately down. Interestingly enough when I first plug it in another one of my programs ...

I downloaded the MAC upgrade from a PC, did all the registration stuff and made a phone call from the PC.
When I plug the MJ into my MacBook I get the msg "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer."
Can anyone help?

I'll be receiving mine this week. I ordered a Jawbone headset off eBay and also one of those mini flip corded phones so I'll have both. The Jawbone is supposedly the "next big thing" in Bluetooth headsets.
