Since it is a working device, why don't you "re-purpose" it as telephone jack for other SIP software, or even for skype. Basically, it's just a Tigerjet phone jack.

1. Use stroths MagicJack utilites to get your SIP credentials
2. Download the latest Fring and install on your phone

I was able to use the MJ jack for skype by just choosing it in Skype as headset and mic. Did not install anything anymore except the Magicjack software. Was able to use it at the "same time", meaning if nobody was calling Magicjack, I can use it for Skype and vice versa. No hacking or special ...

I was wondering what would happen if all three were online, the ATA being on the whole time, the laptop and phone occasionally, but would definitely overlap the ATA. Is this possible? Don't intend to use it the same time, but don't want to turn off the ATA to use the laptop/fring.

Just installed Fring, and was able to enter my MJ SIP credentials and it was successful well at least Fring says it's subscribed. Except, I can't seem to call anybody, or at least I don't know how to make a SIP call using Fring.

Can anybody teach me how to call using Fring.

What does the MJ USB look for during autoplay, since

1. it won't restart the service if it was re-plugged in when you disable autoplay. A manual net start/stop magicjack has to be executed.

1. The original Post has inconsistent folder descriptions, some had '.../LocalService/...' and some had '.../All Users/...'. I chose '.../LocalService/...'
