Currently, for MJ to work properly on my Mac, I have to disconnect it from the USB port when I shut the computer down and then reconnect it whenever I turn the computer back on. Is there a way to leave it plugged in all the time?

I purchased my magicJack before March 8 from magicJack and do not remember if it was in a clear package.

My MJ seems to be working OK and I do not know if I need the upgrade or not.

What exactly would the upgrade do in my situation?
