I have tried using my RTP300 using the MJMD5 prxoie method and it works great except that my phone won't ring now on incoming calls.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

I am very new to the forum posting. My RTP300 is totally unlocked. I can make Magic jack call outs but I get no call ins. I am also getting a beep beep beep beep beep before I get a stable dial tone.

Help please

I'm not sure but that beep might be an indicator that you have voicemail ...

Unfortunately, my phone quit ringing again! Anyone know what to do to get the phone to ring using this method and a rtp300?

I am using a cordless phone. It's a cheapie one from Drugmart.

It's a 2.4 GHz made by COBY model CT-p8200

I think it cost $19.99. We liked it so much that we went back and bought another one!

Well, I didn't do anything, but walk away from it for a while, now it rings! I wish everything worked out that way for me!

Sorry, but I can't tell you what happened or help since I didn't do anything.

I wonder if you could set up your ATA to connect to sipswitch and have it route your calls through MJ talk4Free servers?

My ATA working after the initial wave of ATAs going down. They were able to shut me out yesterday 06/13/09 though, if that helps.

Well, it looks like they got to me in Cleveland 06/13/09 working ata down now, works with buggy dongle though.

Well, it looks like it must have something to do with the age of the dongle or of the account, maybe stroth would work with you on the two to see what the difference is.

Are they both using the same prxoy address?

or are they using two different proxys?

Update:

I changed the User Agent to the latest one and am still working fine.

So far the only thing in common is that we are both using Linksys unlocked routers from a previous provider.

It went down after the upgrade. I promptly plugged in the dongle and got the update. I had to log in with my Mj username and password to a website ...
