One exception----If computer is turned off or put to sleep.,Magic Jack will not restart on its own. That has been my experience--Jim

Joe---Yes I have all those options set on my iMac. That may do the trick. What do you think of the option of RESTART AUTOMATICALLY AFTER POWER FAILURE? That can be checked or unchecked.---Jim

TK6000 is not presently compatible with an Apple computer. Looks like a good option Joe----Soon as they make it compatible.

Thanks Joe. I was aware and have used that option, but that still leaves my wife at home with no phone. I may have to look into getting her a cell phone, or just go back to my old landline.

My problem is when I shut down my Apple computer or put it to sleep, my phone goes off, leaving my wife with no phone as she does not use a computer. It has taken me awhile to figure this out, but here is the procedure that works, without creating problems on the Mac

I put my Computer to SLEEP everynight. Prior to this I drag the Magicjack icon on my desktop into the TRASH. I then hit SLEEP, the phone shuts down and all is well.

I am 5 ft away and thought my problem was with the router interference, but found out it was my CELL PHONE, which interferred with the Cordless base. I now use my cell phone in a different room and all is well (For now)

We disconnect computer (iMac) during bad electrical storms in summer. I wonder if MJ will start up ok, after being shut down.??Any ideas???

I have finally got my MJ settled down enough to enjoy it.

Does anyone close or restart their iMac, and if so, when it restarts does MJ come right back on the screen or do you use some other way of restarting it? If I go to the big apple and select shut down, a pop up comes up stating if I CONTINUE ...

How about if I put it in Sleep at night and have the answerer on MJ forward any calls to my cell, which is next to me in bed.

Would I have any trouble starting MJ in the morning when computer is on???

Broken Magic Jack out of warranty. Can I buy new one and use the same number that is on the broken one? If so how would I complete this. Thanks much
