MJ sent a replacement and it installed without a problem, so apparently the first unit they sent was defective. Thanks for all the suggestions though.

Tried All Those Things
Thanks anyway, but I've done all those things; even shut off firewall and Avast anti-virus. It always had a blue light. Don't have Nero. Downloaded the upgrade 4 times (at least), so I'm not so lucky, lol, hoping it's just defective. I sure would like this thing to work. Bought new phones just for ...

How do I turn off autorun? thanks. Control panels I guess. But remember this unit is not seen by either laptops and can't be found by scanning. Thanks Just4fn, we tried 5 ports on 2 different machines with and without extension, even tried a powered hub, it is not connecting, can't be found.

MJ Won't Install on Dell Inspiron XP Home - SP3 - HELP!
Spent over 8 hours with MJ tech trying to get it to install on my laptop,Dell Inspiron 8600 XP Home, SP3. Nothing happens, no sign on screen, it just plugs into the USB port with a pretty blue light. I know the USB works since it makes a noise and loads an external hard drive just fine.
