This is something new to me. I've been using MJ for almost a year now, and about two weeks ago it takes about 10 minutes of watching the "Tell your friends about magicjack," until magicjack starts?
Any ideas?

When I call someone and the line is tied up I don't get a busy signal. The phone just goes silent. The silent noise has become my cue for the line is tied up, but it would be nice to hear the busy signal.

Well, I have a "newer" MJ, and I have no problems accessing my bank information via the touch tone on my cordless phone. However, I have not called any other automated system other than my bank.

Well MJ is up and running strong now... Good job Dan.

If your experiencing connection problems in this area code it's because MJ is down right now. I didn't talk to anyone on the "chat," so this is my own diagnosis.

I've had it for a little over a month now, and all in all I'm very satisfied. The past two weeks have been flawless, and to my surprise I can even use it to fax. I had the caller ID issue, but that was very easy to fix, thanks to Jerry at [email protected] he's a great guy. I sent him $5.00 ...

I have tried 3 different phones and everyone on the other line says they can barely hear me. Has anyone had success with this issue, and if so, what did you do. I turned up the mic volume, and from what I'm being told, by the person on the other line, it has no affect.

With a little research you could've figured this out before you bought it, so the only one to blame is yourself.

I've only had MJ for a couple of days, so I'm not sure if this is something unique to me, or a persistent problem, but I have low audio on my end, using GE 5.8 MGZ cordless phone, and on the other end they are complaining that they can barely hear me. Any ideas?

Well, it looks like MJ is back up and running. Wow is this thing either I love it, or I hate it...LOL. A strange thing though, I can call numbers in my area code, but if I try and call my land line it won't work unless I first enter the area code?... HUMMM, I say...

MJ is all messed up right now. I hope they can find a solution soon. Furthermore, I hope this isn't a case of "get as many customers as I can and then try and find a way to accommodate them."

I'm down too. I'm in the 925 area code which is in the S.F East bay... I've been down all day on outgoing calls; incoming calls are working though.

I have MJ working on my laptop running Vista, however, when I went to try it on my desktop (running XP) it's telling me "can't connect to server." Is MJ able to be moved from computer to computer, or does it marry to the first computer you plug it into and register with?

It looks like MJ is updating. From what I understand it has something to do with audio. However, I'm still able to receive calls, but I'm not able to make them. So, I'm not sure what the remedy for your situation is.

Just here to say "me too." I can receive incoming calls, however, outgoing gives me nothing, but "trying to connect," for 30 seconds, then I get a fast busy. I've only had Magicjack since 3/24/08, and so far it's been O.K. I haven't decided yet whether or not I will keep it. My main problems so far ...
