Garbled sound
I use a stand alone laptop with MJ on it only. Sound diasabled, no anti virus running, no windows update, just a screen saver and then the monitor shuts off. Everything else is running 24/7. Also my dsl is 768 up/384 down by AT&T. So far so good. We even use a headset on the phone with no problem ...

I was able to use the patch. I got a response from someone, not Dan, with the patch to fix. So far so good. No beeps. They also responded the same day, almost within the hour I sent the email. http://upgrades.talk4free.com/upgrade/2 ... pgrade.exe

Cordless phone
Works with Uniden Model TRU9485 Power Max 5.8ghz digital with answering machine. No problems, plus the MJ unit is on a stand alone laptop with a P3 and running windows XP.

I had to use my cell phone for a call, the person on the other end was so annoyed by the beeping. First it was on my end about a couple of months ago. Now it is on the other end.
