I never gave magicjack my card number. I bought the unit from RadioShack. It expires July 21st 2010.

I just bought Ooma Core yesterday and wow... I should never have bought MagicJack to begin with. It's 100x better, more dependable, and as clear as my old landline.

Bad part of Ooma is the new ...

Voice Delay Issues [Solutions?]

Hi, slowly but surely we're getting the bugs worked out of MJ. Next bug to cross off the list is fixing the voice delay. This issue makes conversations confusing at times.

I tried to find my proxy, but the wiki page is very confusing and rending unsuccessful for me. I get this message "C:\magicjack ...

I made a do-dad thing (100k resistor) today and it seems to be working fine now.

I just picked up a new MJ the other day from Radio Shack. Sometime my CID works and other times it doesn't work. Would this mod fix the issue? wiki said that this fix doesnt work anymore:

Note: The 12/17/2008 upgrade seemed to cause this fix to stop working for some people. It was later reported ...

How can I hook up a 2nd line to MJ?

Can I get one of those cheap adapters at radio shack and plug it into the MJ? I cancelled my land line today and forgot that my DishNetWork needs to be connected to a phone or I'll be charged an extra $5/month.

Anyone here use MJ primarily and shut off land line?

My goal is to shut off my land line completely. I am curious if anyone here uses MagicJack as their primary phone and shut down their landline?

I have removed the extension cord and plugged the dongle directly into the USB. I have not noticed any change in quality.

My phone still has burps (/breakups or loss of signal?), beeps and echo. But I am not complaining because it's cheap service!! It's worth the money, fo sho!

This is how I fixed it - Just changed the number.

I'm looking to completely disable my land line because I am sick of paying $45 bucks a month when I don't have to anymore since I have boradband.

I like MagicJack, I think it is a very cool gadget for only $20 a year. But I am going to return it for Ooma. Ooma is 100% free after I buy the boxes ...

Okay just took another shot at their online chat and accomplished nothing. They are "emailing an engineer". Here's what we did:

Al: Now click on + sign next to HKEY_LOCAL ...

Should we use the USB Extension Cord?

I am using it because it seems safer to have instead of plugging it in direct. I just don't want it to snap off or be in the way back there if it gets snagged on a wire.

Is it okay to use it?

This number has been disconnected or is no longer in service

Hi, I am a new Magic Jack user, just got it from Radio Shack the other day. It works good and I'd like to disconnect my land line to save money. However, when people call me from 231-734-xxxx (Evart Michigan) they get this message:

"This number has been disconnected or is no longer in service"

But ...
