Left click on MJ window and move it outside the screen so all you see is the very edge of it and when it pops up it won't block your current window.

Doc,

I just ran the software on mine and it worked fine. You can tell if you have the updated version by the volume window in MJ. If you don't have the OK or cancel boxes to click on when window is open, then you have updated version and the volume window needs to be closed using the x. A friend of ...

Don't give up just yet, these things aren't perfect but they're trying to resolve the issues like the one you and many others have. I had this same low output volume and found this link to download new software and voila, the output volume is every bit as good as my landline phone.

Here is a direct ...

Follow the link from solderman, it fixes the low output volume. I dealt with the same problem as you and this fixed it. I wish they would've solved the problem of having to raise the volume level every time you log the MJ back on.

Yes, I can forward the new number to the old one and that does work. But when I call out it still uses the old number id.
Thanks for that info, at least now if someone wants to call me from my local area it won't cost them. :)

New Phone number won't activate

I selected a new phone number in my area code when it became active. But the old number is still being used by the MJ. Tech support chat reset my account and had me do the usual things, restart MJ, unplug MJ from usb, restart pc wait 24 hours and try again...bla,bla,bla,bs. It is still using the old ...

I had the same problem as you described. Went through all the possible scenarios and still no fix. Finally sent the MJ back for a replacement which took less than a week and the volume on the other end is much better. Not sure it was the MJ or the new area code number being used but my guess is the ...

Person called can barely hear me.

I've tried everything compiled from this message board and still can't raise the audio output level from my phone so the other person I call can hear me better. The following is a list of things I tried.

1. Switch usb ports
2. Tried MJ on three different computers, (xp pro, xp home, and vista) same ...

It sure would be nice though, if they would do more of their upgrades overnight as not to cause all these problems for all of us. I guess if all went smooth for the MJ they would jack the rates up and it wouldn't be such a great gadget anymore.
Better to find out now because I still have 25 more ...

I'm having the same issue but only with the other person not being able to hear me very well. My audio sounds are all maxed out as is the volumes from the MJ menu. What else could I check?

Hopefully likemagic, When it works, it's great. But not quite ready for prime time yet. I'd love to get rid of my home phone, but MJ isn't quite reliable enough. Then again, for $20/yr. what can we expect.

Had my MJ for Five days and this is the second day in a row it started to do the same thing as you describe here. I call my cell and it rings immediately but there is no ringing heard on the MJ. It gives a short busy signal and then silence. I'll be sending this thing back if it continues to have ...
