Having Trouble

OK, I have tried it and can't seem to get it to work.

I followed the directions but when I get to the step "Image Write Mode", it doesn't seem to work.

First, it doesn't take long, I assume copying a 512mb image would take some time. Almost immediately, I get this on the monitor:

Thanks STxFarmer for this post.

I downloaded the two parts for the tweaked 512mb image for the CA15. The contents of the two files look identical. Are they? Did I goof it up?

Thanks STxFarmer. I got it. That's what I was trying but your reinforcement helped. I notice you have a 512mb dom image for the CA15 but your 1gb image is not for the CA15. Will the 1gb not work with the CA15?

Replacing DOM

I have an HP Neoware CA15. I need to replace the 256mb DOM with a 512mb one. There is a plastic piece that projects up from the motherboard and goes through a hole in the DOM. I can't get the DOM off it. Is there a trick to it?

Thanks. I tried deleting those folders and doing a "clean" update. No go. It worked great until I rebooted. The update simply put those folders back. Pretty lame if you ask me. At that point I had no C drive space left at all. I'll be upgrading the DOM. I may be back to ask questions.

Broken Storage

I have been using mj on a thin client for about one year. I now cannot get mj to start. When mj starts, it begins to upgrade and I get a red broken storage message and the upgrade process aborts.

Looking at my thin client, I see my C drive is nearly full. I think that I might need an mj upgrade ...

"Accept incoming LAN connections" checked in the General tab of the TC's TV and the proxy selection of "No proxy" - Check.

I am sure you are right that it is something simple. I realized the TC was not joining my network workgroup. It was joining the default WORKGROUP but my workgroup has a ...

Thanks VaHam for the suggestion. I tried that change and I still could not connect with the IP address. the response continues to be an error pop-up window that says "A connection could not be established. Reason unknown."

When you use the ID number that Teamviewer provides, you connect using the Teamviewer servers over the internet. When you connect using the IP address of the device, the data only travels through your LAN. This should make for a faster and more secure, I think, connection.

Based on the Teamviewer ...

Connecting to TC with Teamviewer by IP Address

I am unable to connect to my TC via Teamviewer using the TC's IP address. I have the "Allow LAN Connections" setting checked but I do not have the "LAN Connections Only" setting checked. I have read what seems to be the definitive post on this topic:

That Makes Sense

Thanks. I can see that that probably reduces or removes the need for Windows updates but how does that affect MJ updates?

Security of Thin Client

I am thinking of getting a thin client to use with MJ. I have been reading these posts for a couple of days and I see suggestions to strip down the applications and services that run. I have not seen much regarding the security of these machines. On my networked computers, I run a firewall and some ...
