and real painfully true. I can't agree even more. People who knows even a little about VOIP figure it out MJ without plastic dongle works much better than in USB port. Already ...

after changing new SIP I have AUTH SENT ...... forever....


Is that means the end of MJ? Using dongle is pice of shit everyone knows that but using it as a service I cannot complain.

Was able to use MJ with Asteris for over 1 year and now bump

Updated dongle and get what I have to have but I have AUTH SENT and nothing works, reloading, restarting, .....

What coudl be? It is CHicago area.

Some day MJ tech support had installed some tool (software) becasue I had a problem with my network and after they installed that software all problems dissapered. It was like a kinda of VPN that you simply go through out using another network.....

Could you please remind that tool name ...

You have to download Asterisk.TAR from http://downloads.asterisk.org

choose version that Elastix uses

UNZIP it and patch the script that is provided on the 1st page in this forum.

Just do using the same way as you do with asterisk or trixbox.
It works with Elastix.

i have bought new MJ from RADIOSHACK a week ago and no luck with SIP trunk.

As good example I have used my 1st MJ from 2007 that is used as SIP trunk and it still working !!!!!!!!!

yes that's right .... I have 2nd MJ bought a couple weeks ago and it is now working with TRIXBOX SIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 1st one from 2007 edistion is working.

If anyone knows how to get it works with trixbox sip please advice.

I have one MJ running on Trixbox 2.6 but this is old MJ from 2007.

The new one from RadiosShack does not want to work using the same pattern of configuration.

Is there any new trick to new MJs?

Yeap I have tried another one from Wallmart and the same think. I could easly get SIP psswd and user using passwordFinder 2.1 but when tried in a SIP trunk under TRIX I have 120 SEND AUTH ......

I am willing to pay to setup SIP trunk in Trixbox and get it finally to work.

Yes, I have tried many combinatios. One of them was adding
auth=MD5 in a trunk. My main example was the trunk from 2007 majicjack that I bought directly from MJ. That old MJ is working with Trixbox as well with PAP2T. The voice quality is much better than originally on MJ -that's my experience. I ...
