diggs, now i really don't see your point. What is MJ? it's an application. Will Linux run MJ in a more consistent and reliable manner? we won't know until it is available for Linux.

MJ already runs on Mac... Mac is essentially FreeBSD under the hood.. so to me it should not be that much of a leap ...

Re: Beeping

Well lucky you I guess. I would have been able to live with the beeps myself if they were on my end but they're not.

Wouldn't you agree?

Not sure why mine ...

I had the same issue on my TC and moved it "back" to the PC..
Which then gave the "application.exe" error..

I put the MJ in my Win7 box ( quad 3.0GHz 8Gig RAM) and the problem went
away...
loaded Win7 on an Everex 1.5Ghz 500meg RAM.. no issues..
I will probably load XP on this box.. just to test ...

I have had the beeps since July.. but the beep is only on my end..
The person I am calling never hears it..

It does "seem" like it is less frequent now ..but that may just be my perception..

and for $ 20/ year.. I can put up with a few "glitches"..

I put the MJ back in the Original 400Mhz box and it had the same error..

I spent 2 hours online with Tech support.. they are sending me a new unit..
for like 9.95..

When I got ...

Remotet Access to Thin Client

I just bought a TC from a member (on ebay) and it works great..
Got a NeoWARE 400mhz.. and this will run only MJ

Edit:
This has a microdrive...

(the TC replaced an old 400Mhz box dedicated for MJ..)

I run Linux on the desktop and was wondering if something like TightVNC could be
installed on the ...
