I did not use the splitter. I wired the resister in-line on the line from my phone to the MJ (have DSL). Just an FYI, your fix looks good.

I just got back from Radio Shack, and I didn't know which to buy either. The sales guy suggested 1/2 watt, and it worked for me. I have caller ID displayed now.

I did a very crude job of slicing, but it still works.

The first time I dial my MJ number, I get no caller ID on my handset. If I hang up and dial again, the ID works.

It appears as though the second time a call comes in, it shows on the handset. At least that is what happened on my cell, and my spouses cell.

Just received my magicjack, and can send and receive calls. However, I do not know how to set up my phone handset to display caller ID. Caller ID shows up on the PC, in the magicjack interface fine.

What am I missing? How do I get caller ID to ...
