No, the subscription is due to expire at the end of the month though. Thanks for reminding me! :D

I ended up pulling it out of my thin client, and installing it on another PC at home. It did a 'Lucky You' upgrade and then started working on the second PC. Then I plugged it back into the thin ...

I have been receiving this error for a few days now and can't figure out why. Nothing has changed on my thin client as I never mess with it as it sits under my desk with just the mj plugged into it.

Also, when I try to get 'my.magicjack.com', it won't even come up in a web browser for me now.

Yeah, this definitely sounds like something going wrong with the MJ servers in the midwest here. Probably the Chicago proxy.

Update: While on a chat with them, they said they 'reset my connection' on their end and had me restart the mj service. Upon restart, my phone worked again. Weird, but it's working. And here I've wasted the last hour trying to figure out what was wrong on my end. Oh well, it's working now.

You may ...

Wow, funny you should mention this. Thought I was going crazy. Mine is doing it too. I'm in the Chicagoland area and just started receiving this [Error 404] problem a couple hours ago too. Been rebooting/restarting everything seeing if it would go away.

I'm online with MJ tech support chatting ...

I have to agree with everyone else here. I've been a MagicFeatures user for a long time now, and I've never been confused on what the conditions were when purchasing. And red has always been helpful whenever I've seen folks posting questions or issues over there.

Been thinking about trying this. Any suggestions for the best quality free service for receiving calls?

Also, will the CallerID with Name feature still work from the numbers I have put into the MagicFeatures plugin?

I also have this stupid static issue, but always thought the culprit was Google Voice. It seems like all calls that come into my MagicJack through GV have the static. All calls directly into the MJ are okay.

GOOGLE VOICE NOTE: If you are a Google Voice user and need a solution to allow incoming calls forwarded from your Google Voice number to your magicJack phone number to timeout and roll back over to Google Voice's voice mail system, MagicRingForever Release 2 will definitely not cover that case. You ...

I initially didn't install this because I was getting lucky that my MJ voicemail wasn't picking up, and instead Google Voice was when missing calls. But about a month or so ago, I started getting more and more calls falling into MJ voicemil before GV. So I decided to give it a try.

Happy to say ...

I was wondering this myself. So how did you guys call the 911 dispatcher first without actually dialing 911? Just by calling the local police dept non-emergency line?

Instead of physically unplugging the MJ, can I reboot the machine, or restart the MJ dialer service to get this to work?

I have my thin client buried under a desk and it's a little hard to get at.

How do I do this? I tried calling my GV number from my home mj phone, but it always goes to voicemail and pressing '2' seems to do nothing.

Yes, all guest machines that are running on a 'host' machine will share the host's ethernet connection.

I don't know about VirtualBox, but with VMWare, your pretty much just limited by the amount of RAM. The more memory, the more machines.

After testing again, my observations are consistent with your results.

I originally bought MagicFeaturesPlus to ensure incoming calls to my Google Voice number that weren't picked up right away would go to GV voice mail, not MJ voice mail.

I don't have a good way at the moment to see if this is ...

TC received

I've had my TC from Alpman for a couple weeks now, so I thought I would post a mini-review of it. I picked up the $66 Neoware e100/CA10 VIA 800Mhz CPU, 128mb RAM (upgradable to 1GB) 6GB MicroDrive with XPe SP2 model. I wanted a low-cost, low-power solution to run my magicJack 24/7 without being on ...
