Re: Win7 64-bit
Just checking in to see if you have a fix for windows 7 64-bit. Changing the Magicjack.exe to compatability mode didn't work for me. Thanks again.
No 64-bit fix yet, aside from the steps listed above which don't work for everyone. I have been busy with other projects but will eventually try to ...

Re: MagicJack software is not installed/detected
Incidently, why doesn't mine show the TigerJet device?
Different hardware revisions of the magicJack device have different hardware ids. So the function I wrote to detect the MJ loops thru a list of several ids, querying the Win32 plug-and-play API for each hardware id in my list. As soon as it ...

Re: Computer restart - auto updates
I run MagicJack as a Windows service. The service is started with Windows so MJ works even if a user isn't logged in.
I wrote a tool to set up the service. You can download it at www.evanvaughan.com/magicjack.aspx

Re: No Dial Tone - Sometimes
My MJ works well, except, sometimes when I pick up my handset, press talk, there is no dial tone. I hang up, press talk again and I am good to go.
Will running as a service fix this? Any other ideas?
Thx.

Re: CAnt break Dial tone
The dialtone should stop once you enter a complete number. If you're still bothered by it, you can just remove the service and you'll be back to your original configuration.lucas wrote:I install the service Creator 1.5 and When I install it I cant Break Dialtone n MJ Help

Re: Run as a service ??
Just a quick ? or two (or few). :)
What advantage would I have running MJ as a service?
Is it more stable this way?
Would it help in NOT having to unplug and replug the MJ so often?
Does it work well in Win7?
Thanks ..from a noobie MJ user, but fairly seasoned PC tinkerer.

Hi, I received an mj 'lucky you' recently but your service tool never broke. It just behaves slower; that is, I plug in dongle, softphone will eventually say, 'Ready to call'.
