Re: Incoming phone calls sound like crap!
I've had the same problem for several weeks now, and am about to jump ship. On incoming calls, they can hear me clearly, but what I hear is so distorted I can't understand a word. This is unacceptable. MJ tech support told me to change setting for BACKGROUND PROGRAMS PRIORITY, rather than the ...

Bizarre Sound Probem
Using Neoware thin client. Sound comes from TC internal speaker, not from telephone handset. Checked all Windows settings and drivers, all okay. Checked hardware, all okay. Magicjack is set to TELEPHONE as it should be. Tried restarting TC and MJ, no dice. Rebooted router, no diff. It worked fine ...

No Sound in telephone handset
Using Neoware TC from Alpman. Worked fine till recently. Now, there is no sound from telephone receiver. Instead, I hear sound thru small speaker in TC. Telephone/headset selector in MJ software is set to telephone, so that is not the problem. Cannot find anything wrong with any drivers or hardware ...

His most recent post in the Alpman TC's for Sale thread was dated March 19, so he has been off-line for a month. He did not post that he was leaving town for an extended period, but he does travel often. I ordered a Neoware TC from him a couple months back when he was selling those. It was a steal ...

Sure, CID can be spoofed, but why would anyone go to all that trouble? I'm assuming the "fake" CID numbers that I've been getting lately on my MJ line are just the results of malicious mischief. In an case, there is nothing I can do about it, except to ignore them. Thank you all for your input and ...

Fake CID calls really fake?
I have called several of these "mystery" CID numbers back, and all of them have claimed not to have rung my MJ number. I'm beginning to wonder if MJ is capable of fabricating calls that never came in ... or reporting calls that did come in with the wrong CID number. I don't know of any way it could ...

Caller ID Fake Numbers
Several unidentified numbers have appeared on my MJ caller i.d. Of course, it is true that MJ CID numbers are always unidentified. So I tried returning the calls. All of them claimed not to have received calls from me and not to have made calls to my MJ number. I am scratching my head trying to ...

Re: Will Magic Jack work on Windows 2000?
I have a friend wanting to sell his computer really cheap. I was thinking of picking it up to just run the Magic Jack on. The thing is it has Windows 2000. Will Magic Jack work on that? Or do I need XP?
I have tried this. MJ will not install onto a Windows 2000 system. Upon install, it detects ...

Thanks for a terrific util! It worked perfectly, first attempt. Now I don't have to suffer thru MJ's interminable loadup and its annoying pop-up, nor the useless dialpad. Many MJ users like me just want MJ to dial the damn phone and take calls, then leave us alone. Which is exactly what it will do ...
