What do the MJ+ status lights mean?
Tried to search for status lights with out success. So perhaps someone can enlighten me, what do they mean and should they be on steady or flashing? Both of mine flash, but MJ+ seems to be working. Just curious. Thanks

Tony,
The units are Alpsman scratch & dents. One worked for a short while till the microdrive crashed, the other one I bought for parts, mainly the microdrive. The second one did not come with a power supply. I have checked the power supply with a volt meter and it appears to be O.K. It acts like ...

HP5520 Technical question
O.K. I have an HP 5520, actually two of them, sometimes they boot when I push the power button, sometimes they don't, more often then not, they don't, no lights, no nothing, no matter how many times I press the button. Tried jumpering across the switch, that doesn't work, so I'm assuming it must be ...

Phone rings forever or until reboot on incoming calls
I thought I had this fixed, but switched computers and it's back! When I get an in coming call the MJ screen shows Accept/Reject, but if I pick up a phone nothing happens. Phones continue to ring until I reboot the computer. Thought it was an issue with my phone, but it went away before when I added ...

Backing up the image on a 5520
O.K. I finally got my TC up and running again and I want to make a copy of the drive in case the drive dies again. I checked here:

and it talks about a "HP thinstate capture" that's in the Control Panel. I'm running a custom ...

1.8" drive is via USB cable adapter. I figured the 1" drive would work on it as well, but it doesn't seem to, trying to figure if the problem is my adapter or what. Dumb Newbie Question - Microdrive prep for XP
O.K. HOw do you guys copy a microdrive? Do you have to use the IDE/CF adapter and cable? I've got a USB/CF adapter from a 1.8" hardrive, but the computer doesn't see anything there. It sees the 1.8" drive fine, swap it for a 1.0" and nothing in My Computer or Disk Management, on XP.
I've got a USB ...

WTB - 6gb microdrive
O.K. looks like the microdrive in my t5520 died. Alpsman hasn't been responding to e-mails for over a month. Found the same drives on e-bay, but they've just charge my credit card and don't ship anything, causing me the hassle of dealing with e-bay and my credit card! So I'm asking, does anybody ...

I've been trying to reach him for over a month myself, and I honestly believe that something must have happened, I just hope it isn't anything too serious. Having said that, I would like to believe that this community can come together and we can help each other out to keep our "Alpman" equipment up ...

Alpman 5520 Image
Does anyone have an Alpman 5520 disk image? I've tried to contact him directly, without any luck. I know this isn't his fulltime gig, I assume he's got a real job or going to school and I'm trying to get one of his 5520's up and running after a microdrive crash. Thanks

Phone Keeps Ringing on Incoming calls
O.K. I've been playing around since I first posted and I've gotten things to work by plugging a splitter to the MJ and connecting two phones. My guess is that the ringer equivelence is too low on the Uniden. With the Uniden and the Vtech both plugged in, everything is fine. If anybody has another ...

Phone Keeps Ringing on Incoming calls
Tried using my Uniden 5.8Ghz cordless phone with my MJ becuse it has multiple handsets. When I get an incoming call, the phone continues to ring after I pick it up. Don't have that probem with a cheap Vtech single wireless handset. Any suggestions? Uniden was working fine with Vonage. Any help would ...
