Why 10-65535 in my system
From the magicJack FAQ:
magicJack uses port 5060 and 5070 UDP.
That's incorrect. That's just the port they use when you start MJ. It's a control connection. (I've only seen it use 5070, but maybe there are conditions I haven't seen yet where it uses 5060-5069).

One solution................
May have to do with the security settings on your DSL/cable modem.
According to MJ docs opening up UDP ports 5060 and 5070 were all that was needed.
NOT SO.......I found that MJ uses UDP ports 62000 to 65535 in my setup and this is UNDOCUMENTED BY MJ!! MJ should inform users of all the UDP ...

Re: Call forwarding Assistant For Magic Jack (Version 2.1 Ad
I got the magic jack yesterday in the mail. I was pretty impressed with the quality I have gotten out of it so far. But what I found almost appalling was that you have to login to their website to change your call forwarding settings. I woke up about a half hour ago with nothing to do, so I made a ...

"mute" button syndrome - can't hear anything after
I just got my magicjack today and it was NO joy at first. Took over 5 hours to get it to work. :(
After setting everything up, I connected a phone and dialed. The called number answered but then I could not hear anything (happened on both calling and recieving parties) - the " mute" button ...
