Try testing your fax line by sending a test fax to 1-888-473-2963. If the fax completes successfully, they will also send you a fax back to you can make sure you can receive them successfully as well.

My out of area code fax success rate went from 0% to 100% with the downgrade. It might be just my set up (win 7 64 bit using built in fax modem.) All that tweaking of the modem bit rate etc. makes no difference in my case.

I have a hp officejet j4580 all in one, can receive fax ok, when I send one they receive about 1/4 of it. Any ideas. I did like previous poster, disabled error connection, enabled the speakers, slowed the speed way down. still no success
